oa Journal of the Entomological Society of Southern Africa - Discussion of the species and summary
In the following sections an attempt is made to summarize what is known of the individual variation shown by the eight species studied in this paper and to give some indication of the reliability of the various characters employed for identification. It is hoped that such information may be of use in studying other species groups within the genus and perhaps even in the study of related genera. In particular it is desired to focus attention on the variability of the valves, especially with regard to the development of the callus, on the relative constancy of the lateral sc1erites of the aedeagus and on the use of the early stages.
