oa Journal of the Entomological Society of Southern Africa - On the occurrence of the genus Ramuliseta Keiser in South Africa (Diptera: Pyrgotidae)

Abstract

The family Pyrgotidae includes three subfamilies, Pyrgotinae, Toxurinae and Lochmostyliinae, and only the first of these is recorded from Southern Africa by Van Bruggen (1961: 131-2) in his preliminary checklist. Recently a specimen of the interesting genus Ramuliseta Keiser was collected at Port St. Johns (C.P.); this is one of the four genera that constitute the subfamily Lochmostyliinae (Aczl, 1956: 27).
