In the laboratory at fluctuating temperatures of about 20ï¿½C, the larval stage of Nudaurelia cytherea clarki Geertsema lasts about 76 days, Pseudobunaea irius (F.) 62 days and Holorcerina smilax (Westw.). with four instars, 45 days and with five instars 54 days. The digestion coefficients were 22,8, 17,1 and 21,0 per cent for the three species.
