oa Journal of the Entomological Society of Southern Africa - Parasitoids, commensals and colony size in nests of Belonogaster (Hymenoptera: Vespidae)



Two species of brood parasitoids infest the nests of Belonogaster juncea colonialis Kohl and B. petiolata (Degeer); a Tachinid fly (Anacamptomyia sp.) which parasitizes brood late in the season, and an Ichneumonid wasp (Camptotypus apicalis (Brulle)) which parasitizes brood early in the season.
