Astymachus exilis spec. nov. is descriptionbed from South Africa and represents the first record of this genus from the Afrotropical region. A key to the females of the three known species of Asrymachus Howard is given. The following seven species of Rhopus Foerster, a genus previously recorded from the Afrotropical region through undetermined species, are descriptionbed as new from South Africa: discretus, luridus and pilatus, which belong to the subgenus Rhopus, and adustus, geminus, notius and urbanus of the subgenus Xanthoencyrtus. A key to the females of these species is provided.
