The Africagrowth Institute (AGI) is a training, research and publishing company based in Cape Town (South Africa). The company’s areas of work are in journal publications, research and training on Africa. AGI publishes the African Finance Journal and the Africagrowth Agenda journals in partnership with the African Finance Association on growth opportunities in Africa. The Institute also conducts research in growth research on Africa. In addition to this, AGI also organises a number of academic conferences including the African Finance Journal Conference and the Global Development Finance Conference.
The African Finance Journal publishes significant new research in finance and strives to establish a balance between theoretical and empirical studies. Papers written in any areas of Finance, Accounting and Economics will be considered for publication. The principal criteria for inclusion are a paper's quality and contribution to the field of Finance, Accounting and Economics, without undue regard to its technical content.
The African Markets Overview is published monthly (since April 2000) using the data supplied by our information providers. It includes market news and trends, company news and other market related information from all the stock markets in Africa who are currently supplying ACIA with information.,
The Journal aims to publish significant new research in development finance research and will strive to establish a balance between theoretical and empirical studies. It aims to accomplish the following:

establish an outstanding level of academic rigor that will ensure the publication of first class development finance research;
appeal to a broad cross-section of readers, including both the academic audience as well as practitioners of finance.
