connecting the town of george and the
coastal belt from Mossel Bay in the west to
Knysna in the east with the hinterland.

The use and re-use of water together with the final disposal of waste water will in the future play an important role in ensuring better utilization of our water resources. This paper gives examples of water re-use in industry and derives principles that apply to water re-use. These principles have been used to develop a collection and successive re-use schedule which conserves potable water and minimizes contamination of the potable water source.
The leading dimensions of the Boeing 747 aircraft were given in the paper, as well as the parameters and other considerations which influenced the design and construction of the hangar. Mention was made of special features such as the hangar floor, the crane system, fire protection and the internal buildings. Site assembly and erection of the steelwork were descriptionbed.
