What projects does Iscor have in the pipeline that are of interest to civil engineers - new plant, new accommodation for workers? The bad news is that there is nothing in the pipeline that would be terribly exciting for civil engineers, but I think I must qualify that by saying why not. The fact of the matter is that steel is a mature industry, it's a mature commodity, and hence the projects that Iscor Steel has in the pipeline, apart from Saldanha, which is a separate issue, are all related to optimisation, not expansion. Our focus is on modernisation, yield improvement, productivity improvement, because we have to become more competitive in the global environment.
