Abstract

The Paper descriptionbed in broad outline the terminal elevator which has been erected in East London for the export of surplus maize. The silo can handle 120 railway trucks per eight hour day, storing 60,000 tons of grain and can load out at a rate of 1,800 tons per hour from a shipping gallery on the commercial quay.
