oa Civil Engineer in South Africa - The detailed planning and construction of Sentrarand Marshalling Yard and link lines

Abstract

The co-ordination of the numerous disciplines invoked in the planning and construction of Sentrarand and the problems associated with user departments which were uncertain of their requirements, are outlined. The total cost of the project is broken down into amounts spent by the various departments. Considerable attentions is given to the problems of subsurface drainage.
