Abstract

As a natural resource, the environment is a living, working, and highly complex whole consisting of a vast number of elements and organisms that are all functionally interdependent. A change to any part of the whole will inevitably affect the whole system. For this reason, it is essential that a holistic approach be taken to the study and conservation of the environment.
