Abstract

In this last of four articles on the work of Thomas Ochse Honiball, the comic strip (Adonis and Company) created by him for adults, is discussed. This satirical comic strip featured a family of baboons living like Afrikaans-speaking South Africans in the rural town Magaliesberg and was Honiball's finest work as a pictorial humourist. The purpose of this article is mainly to convey Honiball's insight of his fellow countymen by this portrayal of their particular characteristics.
