oa De Rebus - England: transfer from one branch of the profession to the other

 

Abstract

Steps to make it easier for solicitors to transfer to practice at the Bar were announced by Sir Elwyn Jones, the Attorney-General at the annual meeting of the Bar yesterday. From October 1, a solicitor who has been in practice for three years will be able to transfer to the Bar without taking further examinations or completing the Bar's practical training courses.
