To most people the land they own probably represents their most valuable asset. And yet people are notoriously careless about their legal rights and obligations when buying or selling property. The recent collapse of a number of property dealing companies has again highlighted the need for the man in the street to obtain proper legal advice before purchasing property. There are many aspects which require to be clarified before any property transaction is concluded. In the long run it is far simpler and less costly to clarify and rectify the potential financial and legal implications before a purchase is concluded than afterwards. By virtue of their training and varied experience in these matters the members of our profession are best qualified to advise persons contemplating the sale or purchase of property.
