This morning, before breakfast, each of you would have been exposed to about 20 trade marks - on your shaving equipment, brush, comb, soap, toothpaste, socks, shoes, shirt, suit, tie and so on. If you were listening to the commercial radio for, say, an hour, you would probably have been exposed to about another 40 trade marks; and as you drove into town this morning you would have seen dozens more trade marks, on motor cars, on delivery trucks, on advertising signs and billboards, outside shops, and in shop windows. By the time you sat at your desk this morning you had probably been aware, consciously or unconsciously, of a hundred or more trade marks.
