Abstract

For as long as humankind has existed, the concept of 'community' has been integral to our very survival. Tribes formed and evolved as vital social constructs, allowing for communal advancements and success. Humans lived and worked together, for the benefit of the group. If this had not happened, and every human had acted in isolation, without collaborating with neighbours and their 'commune', no advancement would have occurred. I daresay humankind would not be in existence today.
