I am a keen cyclist that happens to be living with type 1 diabetes. Sometimes, things just don't go according to plan...It's the second day of the iSimangaliso 4-day mountain bike stage race and I have just landed on my head. The guy cycling next to me cycled over a branch that flicked up and was caught in my spokes. I dropped like a brick.
