Abstract

The region of Maputaland in northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and southern Mozambique is one of the most biologically rich areas of southern Africa. However, surprisingly little work has been done on the biodiversity and ecology of arthropods in this area (Lawrence et al. 1980; Van Hille 1980; Van Rensburg et al. 1999; Botes 2001).
