oa African Entomology - A new species of tanaostigmatid (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea) from South Africa, that forms galls on tamboti



A new species in the genus Tanaostigmodes Ashmead (Tanaostigmatidae), T. tambotis, is descriptionbed from both sexes from South Africa. This species, which is the first in the genus to be descriptionbed from the Afrotropical Region, forms galls on the stems of Spirostachys Africana Sonder (Euphorbiaceae), commonly known as tamboti.
