An analysis of Asilidae collected at Willowmore by J.CE.H.J. Brauns, a medical practitioner and entomologist who lived in the town from 1902 to 1929, is presented. Three hundred and fifty database records representing 62 species in 27 genera, including all but one Afrotropical subfamily, were available for study. The Stenopogoninae were best represented, followed by Apocleinae and Laphriinae. Different periods of adult activity for the various genera is demonstrated, but evidence of true seasonal succession could not be found.
