Abstract

The Technical and Vocational Education (T.V.E.) were established in western European countries in the 19th century, due to economic and scientific developments. Though the TVE in Greece did not follow the stages of growth of the general education, technical professional schools, established mainly by donations of benefactors, played an important role in the economic and social life in Greece. One of them was the Professional School of George and Helen Kyriazis. This article examines the different stages of the existence of this School, its structure, development and function until its final closure.
