Abstract

It is becoming more and more difficult to find publishers willing to publish specialized works of scholars (studies, books, translations, etc.) in 'small' languages, because market conditions are not favourable to such 'ventures'. Moreover, since English - and to a lesser extend some other international languages - have taken over and tend to monopolize the international 'scientific' market, scholars themselves prefer nowadays to have their works published in one of these languages. They are thereby encouraged by university preferences, rating demands, prestige and peer reference obligations.
