Paula Proudlock I n addition to the socio-economic rights provided to everyone in sections 26 and 27 of the Constitution, s 28(1)(c) is specifically targeted at children?s socio-economic rights. It accords every child a right to basic nutrition, shelter, basic health care services and social services. Section 28(1)(c) is informed by a recognition of the particular vulner- ability of children.
