To foster an export trade in mutton and lamb, a trial shipment, comprising about 1,000 carcases each of mutton and lamb, was sent by the ""Winchester Castle"" in December, 1932, to London, and marketed under the auspices of the Department of Agriculture and the South African Trade Commissioner.
