This article explores relevant literature to locate the placement of the management of education for children with hearing impairment in the implementation of MDG 2 through SMC and stakeholder relationships. A qualitative approach employing grounded theory within a case-study was adopted for the study. Data obtained were analysed thematically and discussed. Findings indicate that in the provision of education for children with hearing impairment, avenues for stakeholder relationships were available. However, the lack of an SEN policy and negative societal attitudes mean that special schools experienced challenges in implementing MDG2. Implications of the findings for management practice and the need to close the inclusion gap for people with disabilities in the implementation of the MDGs are discussed.
