This article presents a model developed to assess households' residential satisfaction in relation to the distribution of urban activities patronized by individual households and other locational variables. Based on the date used, the model performs well as it explains why households in poor residential conditions appear satisfied, and indicates the levels of satisfaction of households under residential mobility. Its performance is, however, low in explaining households intention to change residence perhaps because of some socio-cultural factors which were not included in the model.
