oa IFE PsychologIA : An International Journal - Metaphors in aid of indigenous organisational theorising and form in Nigeria



This paper contributes to the growing body of epistemological crosscultural research on organisational theory and behaviour. More importantly, the paper demonstrates, that cultural metaphors can help us conceptualize and generate new solutions to some difficult problems of organisational theory and behaviour in Nigeria. A thesis emerges from the paper which suggests that Nigerian cultural ontological metaphors of work, time and money, may aid us in the development of a viable, creative, healthy, humans and indigenous organisational form, in Nigeria and Africa.
