This paper presents the results of a study of moral development of some Igbo students in response to the current debate on the role of culture in the Kohlberg's theory. One hundred and sixty secondary school students and forty postgraduate students responded individually to Kohlberg's ""Form A"" moral judgement interview. This study provides evidence that a full understanding of a person's moral reasoning requires, among other things, an appreciation of the peculiar aspects of his culture's world view.
