The paper identifies the attributes that affect the quality of rural infrastructures in Ife region. Four hundred and thirty-four 434 household heads selected from 31 settlements of the study area were interviewed using already prepared questionnaires. The information collected from the field are factor analysed. The study operationally and spatially characterized quality attributes of the rural infrastructures into four dimensions-locational economic, management and physical attributes. The need for planners to consider the opinion of the rural people on the quality of the infrastructures provided for their use when planning for new infrastructures is highlighted.
