Racism in America is a psychological extension of European conquest. Heretofore it has been analyzed in the traditional dichotomous context. As an intellectual taboo its existence among people of colour is all but ignored in the scholarly literature. In fact it is manifested on the basis of skin colour directed primarily at African-Americans. Vis-a-vis domination hypergamy then becomes the preferred marital pattern for women of colour. The cycle of conquest is completed in their denigration of dark skin.
