In 2000, The Economist labelled Africa the 'Hopeless Continent', but inverted that idea a decade later, renaming it the 'Hopeful Continent', even going as far as to apologise for its previous dictum. Earlier this year, World Trade Organisation director-general Pascal Lamy declared Africa 'the growth continent for the 21st Century'. Without a doubt, it's a land of opportunity and we're proud to take our place in its growth with the launch of Food Manufacturing Africa.
