Late last year the media was invited to a team introduction and luncheon hosted by the managing director of Dow Southern Africa, Sazi Lutseke. According to Lutseke, Dow has identified four global trends for 2011, namely health and nutrition, energy, transportation and infrastructure, and consumerism, all of which require a shift in focus for Dow from being a predominantly feedstock-driven business to a market-driven business.
