Increased productivity, cost-effectiveness and improved technology are some of the benefits of variable data printing (VDP). How are local and international companies taking advantage of this? According to Kodak's Will Mansfield, director of marketing of Inkjet Printing Solutions (an Eastman Kodak company), print publishers around the world are facing changing business models as readers increasingly turn to online for the latest news and content. To offset decreasing subscription and print advertising revenues, publishers are adding content online and focusing on that type of revenue. 'VDP allows publishers topromote their online content and provide a variety of incentives for readers to engage on both platforms,' he adds.
