n Packaging Review South Africa - IML labels for fizz tubes : retales

USD

Abstract

In-mould labelling (IML) is a cost-effective means of decorating a rigid tube, tub, bucket or container with high definition graphics and text. The 'host material' - be it a tube, tub, bucket or container, and the label substrate material from which the label is made are similar, thereby enabling a molecular bond to take place during the moulding process. The benefit of IML labels with regard to the fizz tubes is that they result in a brighter, hardier and more scuff-resistant tube for the consumer.
