Abstract

Brand owners have always been aware that labels are one of the most effective ways for a product to distinguish itself on shelf against competitive products. In 1897 in Japan the Fujio Carpentry Shop, the predecessor of Fuji Seal, began manufacturing wooden taps and sake (rice wine) barrels.
