The new R3,5-billion, 83-hectare Sedibeng Brewery situated in the Sedibeng district of Gauteng province between the towns of Vereeniging and Alberton, brews Amstel, Heineken and Windhoek in SA. It was officially opened in March this year. There are two 60 000 bottles/hour filling lines, and a RTD (returnables) line will also soon be operational for Smirnoff Spin, Smirnoff Storm and Strongbow Cider.
