The first global conference for the citrus industry was held at the Bay Hotel, in Cape Town, in July. The event, put together by the Citrus Growers' Association, featured top speakers from around the world and examined issues such as how South Africa can stay ahead in a highly competitive market, innovation and challenges such as biosecurity and rising costs.
