In late March 2011, Douglasdale required a facility upgrade that would replace the 20-year old system it was currently running and so they turned to GEA Westfalia, already its trusted supplier of dairy equipment on numerous other occasions. The specs were that the upgraded version would need to increase its processing capacity from 18 000 litres/h to 25 000 litres/h.
