SA's new laws on labelling are the cause of much confusion and headaches. Aimed at providing the consumer with better information about a product's ingredients and therefore reducing the amount of misleading marketing - particularly as 'natural' and 'healthy' are growing in importance - this legislation is here to stay. And, say experts, as SA's government invests more into protecting the consumer, manufacturers should expect to see additional legislation being proposed that's based on this concept.
