The rocky economy is obviously forcing many consumers to scale back, and according to experts, more are preparing meals at home more often. This trend is increasing their demand for convenience though, as the 'time-starved' consumer - particularly the career mother - doesn't have the luxury of preparing a slow-cooked meal every night. It also doesn't mean that they can cook, either. On the other side of the coin, the young singles are highly impatient multitaskers and the habit of dashboard dining - eating in their car en route somewhere - is hotting up.
