Staying positive amid the depressing statistics that confront us in the news every day is difficult, but there is still hope in the F&B industry. While the Southern African Development Community's 2015 vulnerability assessments indicate there could be an estimated 27.4 million food-insecure people in the region in the immediate future, this also means there are more opportunities to supply food and beverage products that fit the bill in terms of availability and cost.
