New legislation is impacting the F&B industry in Europe. Food waste is being diverted from incineration or landfill to companies capable of recycling waste. The European rendering sector, working under the current feed ban, has slowly transformed from producing feed ingredients to producing energy. The same applies to South Africa where these issues are gaining traction in the industry.
