Demands from the public and private sectors to develop and retain skills in the province have prompted SmartXchange to expand its operational model and introduce facilities that differ radically from traditional business incubation methods. This new operational model has already borne fruit with a number of companies being nurtured by SmartXchange installing the locally developed Revenue Management System, LogoSoft, at the eThekwini Municipality. LogoSoft has been developed in Durban by SmartXchange in partnership with a number of its tenant SMEs. The software has been designed according to a software development framework called Virtual Works provided by Ramco Systems, India. ..
