Abstract

ONCE REVIVED, HOWEVER, they will be pleased to note that there is a cold asphalt available on the market that emulates its hot cousin in every respect and more, and which lasts in the ground - as proof, repairs of over 10 years can be seen in ever y province. It is unfortunate that, while hot asphalt is available to a specification, from large manufacturers, cold asphalt from a variety of sources, big and small, could mean anything that looks similar to bitumen with a few stones mixed in, put in a bag and marketed as asphalt. No wonder it sends shivers down the spine.
