Bernat Kruger was born in 1972, and lives in Delmas. His poetry has been published widely in South Africa, both in print and online, and has been included in anthologies of poetry. He was awarded the 2006 Thomas Pringle Prize for Poetry (for his poems published in this journal), and was a runner up in the DaimlerChrysler Award for South African Poetry 2005. His first book is to be published by Deep South Publishers.
