Abstract

Greetings everyone, Sanibona Nonke. And a particular welcome to all the young writers present. All of us here tonight are obviously privileged, so let us spare a thought for our families (including our ancestors) who blessed us with the gift of life; and for our wonderfully dedicated teachers who have given so much of themselves to get us here - to this pinnacle of creative expression and achievement, here in this room. I hope this evening will be an entertaining, instructive and a happy one for you all.
