Abstract

The United Nations organised a seminar on the Security Situation in Central Africa, in May 2003, in Brazzaville, Congo. This was a subregional seminar attended by member states of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), 4 on the implementation of the United Nations Programme of Action to Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects. Also present were international observers and donors such as Japan, the United States, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
