The 2010 amendments to the General Code of Conduct for Authorised Financial Services Providers and Representatives (the Code), published under the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 2002 are being implemented in four phases. The third phase took effect in October 2010 and the fourth will take effect in April 2011. The amendments relate primarily to the avoidance, mitigation and management of conflicts of interest which may arise in the provision of financial services.
