Abstract

International pre-marital agreements (and matrimonial or cohabitation agreements) are often a neglected area of estate and wealth planning. For example, if you are planning to relocate, do you know to what extent the contractual basis of your marriage will hold up in another jurisdiction should the marriage break down? Relocating individuals and their families can devote a significant amount of time towards the protection of their wealth, only to find that it can be decimated by divorce and relationship breakdown.
