How much do Somalis and other foreign nationals have to enjoy the protection afforded to them by South African legislation and international law? means in Swahili, a language that is spoken by certain ethnic groups in African countries such as Somalia and Kenya. It is a sad fact that there is limited uhuru for Somalis living in Somalia. As a result, a lot of Somalis find their way to South Africa in the hope of a better education, job opportunities and a better life. (734/10) [2011] ZASCA 2 (15 February 2011) considered the issue of Somali asylum seekers and refugees in South Africa.
